Unvented Hot Water Systems

It is a requirement of the Building Regulations Part G3 that hot water systems (including unvented hot water systems) are installed by a competent person.

At Lincolnshireplumbing.com our engineers have all completed a recognised course so they are legally competent to install, repair and maintain unvented hot water systems.

Benefits of an Unvented Hot Water System

Unvented hot water systems are a popular choice for larger homes (e.g. with more than 1 bathroom) that wish to benefit from mains pressure hot water. Modern combination boilers struggle to meet the required hot water flow rate when more than 1 outlet is used at the same time and only an unvented hot water system can overcome this issue. They also remove the need for a large cold water storage cistern in the loft space and ensures there is no danger of frozen or burst pipes in the loft.

Due to the additional safety controls required when storing hot water at mains pressure, it is essential that unvented hot water systems are routinely serviced by a competent engineer.  To arrange a service or discuss installations options, please contact us to arrange a no obligation quote.
